Harvard University Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2024

HarvardX Scholarships 2024

The Harvard Ed Portal has recently announced the availability of its 2024 HarvardX for Allston Scholarships. These scholarships aim to help eligible individuals enhance their career prospects, explore their interests, or gain new knowledge. Recipients of the scholarship will receive full coverage for the verified certificate fee for anyone HarvardX online course of their choice. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an Ed Portal member or an Allston-Brighton resident. Additionally, educators working in Boston and Cambridge schools are also eligible to apply.

Deadline: The application period is closed. Please check back in 2024 for updated application information.

Offered for: Allston-Brighton residents or Ed Portal members who are 18 years or older; educators in Boston schools; and educators in Cambridge schools.

Athletics Clinic Scholarships 2024

The Harvard Ed Portal, in partnership with Harvard Athletics, offers scholarships to a variety of summer athletic camps to Ed Portal youth members. The opportunities vary by age level and sport each year and are awarded based on lottery systems.

Eligibility Requirements: Recipients must be Ed Portal members. Various ages depending on individual camp requirements. Scholarships are awarded based on a lottery system of all applications received.

Ceramics Community Scholarship 2024

The Harvard Ed Portal and the Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard, are jointly offering a limited number of scholarships for a 14-week in-person course during Spring 2024. The course will be held at the Harvard University Ceramics Program, and it will provide clay, glaze, and 8,600 cubic inches of firing as part of the scholarship. All students enrolled in a Ceramics course are required to comply with the Ceramic Program policies.

 

Application Deadline: Because of high demand, Spring 2024 awardees will be chosen via lottery.

Eligibility: per the high demand, Spring 2024 awardees will be chosen via lottery. Those eligible for the lottery fit the following criteria: currently live in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood of Boston, MA, and applied for but did not receive a scholarship in 2024.

Allston-Brighton Harvard Extension School Community Scholars Program

Members of the Harvard Ed Portal who are at least 18 years old can apply for tuition waivers for undergraduate or graduate certificate programs at the Harvard University Extension School. If accepted, Harvard will provide awardees with a one-course tuition waiver per semester (fall and spring) until the certificate is earned. To stay eligible, the awardee must remain in good standing and complete all award requirements.

Offering: Undergraduate and Graduate Certificate Programs through the Harvard University Extension School. Full tuition waiver for one course per fall and spring semester as long as the student continues to meet the eligibility requirements below.

Eligibility: Allston-Brighton residents who are age 18+. Applicants must complete a free application for a free membership to the Harvard Ed Portal.

To apply for a Harvard University scholarship, applicants must follow the following important steps to unlock Harvard Academy Scholars Programs. These steps are listed below.

  • Create a new account by visiting the school’s official website at gsas@fas.harvard.edu.
  • Provide a Cover letter that states the applicant’s academic field, country or region of specialization, and proposed research topic written by the applicant.
  • A well-drafted Curriculum vitae (CV) or resumé, including a list of publications written by the applicant.
  • A written or drafted Research proposal (2500 words maximum) that includes intellectual objectives and planned methodological and disciplinary work of the applicant.
  • The applicant’s copy of his or her PhD program transcript
    Three letters of recommendation from former academic institutions.
  •  Applicants must take note that all three letters of recommendation, are submitted online as PDF documents only.
